Bryan Roeder has been the Environmental, Water Quality and Sustainability Research Manager for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Research Branch since 2011. In this role, Bryan identifies and/or evaluates environmental problems and opportunities that can be addressed through research in order to minimize the impact of transportation to the environment in CO. He conducts or manages research projects to provide decision support and analysis for CDOT functions, policy making, and activities. His primary interest and specialty in this field is in the biological sciences. Prior to working with the Research Branch, Bryan worked for seven years as a biologist for CDOT, specializing in threatened & endangered species analysis and noxious weed management. He has worked as a biologist in Florida, New Mexico, Alaska, and Australia. Bryan’s education includes a M.S. in Wildlife Sciences, a B.A. in Biology, and semester abroad studying wildlife management in Kenya.
