Julianne Schwarzer has worked as an Environmental Protection Specialist at the
Volpe Center since 2007. Ms. Schwarzer’s work focuses on environmental permitting and regulation; accelerating infrastructure project delivery; as well as mediation and facilitation. At present, she oversees the Volpe Center’s support of Federal Highway Administration Office of Project Development and Environmental Review, as well as to the USDOT Infrastructure Permitting Improvement Center. Ms. Schwarzer holds an M.C.P. in City Planning with a certificate in Environmental Planning and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.F.A. in Film, Television, and Radio from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. For her graduate thesis, Julianne researched conflict surrounding urban wildlife management. Ms. Schwarzer is a member of the Transportation Research Board Ecology and Transportation Committee (ADC30) and a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals. |
