Xinjun Wang is a research professor in the Research Center for Environmental Protection
and Transportation Safety, China Academy of Transportation Sciences, Ministry of Transport(MOT). He joined the research center in 2009 after receiving his Ph.D in Environmental Sciences from State Key Lab of Urban and Regional Ecology, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang engaged in postdoctoral research at Western Transportation Institute, Montana State University from 2012 to 2013. He has interdisciplinary background and diverse skills in environmental sciences, civil engineering and environmental microbiology. Professor Wang’s research interests are in the field of road ecology, vegetation restoration, wetland restoration, wastewater treatment, stormwater runoff. He has been serving as the Principal Investigator (PI) on three research projects and Co-PI on five research projects funded by the Chinese MOT and local DOT. He is an active member of China Highway and Transportation Society since 2010, a member of Chinese Overseas Transportation Association (COTA) and Ecology and Transportation Committee since 2013. Professor Wang published several papers in high impact journals, such as Water Research, Environmetal Pollution. He won 3 China highway Society’s Science and Technology Progress Awards (2013, 2015, 2016) and recently received Young talent award (2016) of China Academy of Transportation Sciences. |
